The Electric Alpha Wings. Opens to 4 feet wide in 3 seconds. Takes 8 rechargable AA NiMH batteries (sold seperately). These wings can open and close more than a hundred times before the batteries need to be recharged. A hand held control switch lets you open and close the wings and turn the lights on and off. Straps to your back like a backpack with 2 inch wide straps. Can easily be worn for over an hour comfortably. Standard version ($560) comes with white or black plastic wing blades. Plastic wing blades are flexible and light while aluminum blades are more rigid and durable.
Note: Only NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) batteries can be used in these wings! NiMH batteries have much higher available power than even the best disposable batteries and are the only type of batteries that can be used with the wings. These batteries can be purchased at Amazon.com here.
