Cybertek Wings 2.0 $1000
Prototype Photo Shoot (2005):
As with all gadgets these wings are constantly being improved. The photoshoot below was taken in 2005 and since then the design was improved to make the wings open up wider and close tighter. An extra air tank was also installed to allow for more activations before recharging. (shown above, pictures taken April 2011) These upgrades are standard with all orders.
The Cybertek Version 2.0 CO2 powered wings open to more than 6 feet wide and deployable in a split second! Powered by pressurized CO2 gas. Comes with 6 refill cartridges. Info on CO2 power system here.
The wings are controlled by a hand held control pad (not shown). CO2 is loaded into the tanks on the wings via a bicycle tire style connector. If CO2 cartridges are not available these wings can also be refilled at gas stations and wherever compressed air is available.
The LED wing tips are powered by 8 AA batteries. With standard batteries the wing tips will stay on for roughly 2 days. You have the choice of red, blue, white or green LED's for the wing tips
The design of these wings uses biomechanical symmetry. Bat wing joint placements and bone lengths were measured and the same ratios of lengths was applied to the joints and linkages in the wings.
