Project Ideas
Wolverine Claws
A few times people have asked to have wolvering claws made. This is entirley possible and preliminary drawings are already done. It would be roughly 400 or 500 for a CO2 system and 200 or 300 for a simple spring loaded version. Blades are probably best made out of aluminum, cut in a way to look sharp but actually be dull for safety reasons. Options such as locking once open, light effects, speed control, pressure gauges and such are available.
Powered Metal Exoskeleton Gauntlets
For some time now I've been thinking of making a second version of the Exoskeleton Gauntlets. This version will be made of metal and aluminum instead of plastic and be powered for crushing strength. Basically the way it will work is the gauntlets will function as gloves just like the originals. Pick stuff up, grab things, complete with opposable thumb and relativley fine control. But this version will also have a power option. With the flick of a switch all 5 fingers will close with CO2 powered actuators engaging, clamping the gauntlets shut onto whatever you are holding at the time. This is remarkable because it will basically augment the physical strength of your hands when activated supporting the true definition of the word exoskelton. They will be powered by a small belt mounted CO2 power pack with 100 plus activations or a wing style CO2 cartridge loading system with 6-10 activations. Options such as detatchable claws made out hardened metal or longer hook claws might be available. Each hand will cost roughly 1500-1900. See preliminary concept drawings here
Velcro On Armour
In February 2010 I was approached by a customer who requested an armoured outfit for an event. After some testing I found a great way of attatching armour to clothes using velcro. The outfit was a huge success, Contact me for custom armour attatchments for clothes. Variations might include spikes or different armour materials like copper or brass. You will need to send the article of clothing you want armoured by mail to have the velcro pieces attatched. Also you will need to talk to me about armour style, placement, coverage, etc. See the concept drawings here
Alternate lighting effects for Wings
There are a few lighting effect options I've been wanting to try: glow in the dark circuitry, lasers on the wing tips instead of LED's. flat panel light effects, Pink LED's, slow pulsing "heartbeat" flashing for the LED's, or reactive lights that flash to music or bass. Contact me for pricing information.
Steampunk Style Conversions
Steampunk conversions are available for all products. Real brass and copper can be used in some cases, however where materials have to be light or geometrically complicated aluminum painted copper or brass is used. Contact for more information. See Steampunk Wings and concept drawings.
Flat Panel Light Suit Mods
The new "Tron" tyle flat panel lights can be put into pretty much anything. In a recent project I worked with a customer to integrate these flat panel lights into a PVC catsuit. The results were spectacular. If you have an outfit you would like modified please contact me. Depending on the complexity, you may have to actually be present for me to take measurements. But if it's something simple you can ship the clothing to me to be modified and returned. Tron Light Suit photos here (scroll down).
